Arrest the leaders of Ride for the Constitution to end the lunacy

wingnuts-signThey’ve had their 15 minutes of fame. Gotten the press coverage they craved and in the process, smeared the good name of the American trucker. Now it’s time to put an end to the lunatic behavior.

The late Dale Sommers, known to his listeners as “The Trucking Bozo” always warned his listeners against actions such as this. He would state that for a strike to succeed, it would need a leader and that leader would leave themselves open to arrest and prosecution under the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) statutes. Now’s the time to see if Sommers was correct.

We have the acknowledged leaders, Zeeda Andrews, a washed up former country singer, Pete Santilli, an acknowledged “domestic terrorist” and host of an underground internet radio show and a newcomer to the ranks, Earl Conlen, a failed owner operator and current company driver who claims to be handling logistics for this donnybrook.

Let’s add “sedition” to the list of charges against these wingnuts, shall we? It’s appropriate.

In law, sedition is overt conduct, such as speech and organization, that is deemed by the legal authority to tend toward insurrection against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent (or resistance) to lawful authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws.

Let’ start with Conlen. Conlon, told U.S. News & World Report that he and other truckers would block the highway if police intervened and that they also would try to arrest members of Congress for disregarding the Constitution.

“We want these people arrested, and we’re coming in with the grand jury to do it,” he said. “We are going to ask the law enforcement to uphold their constitutional oath and make these arrests. If they refuse to do it, by the power of the people of the United States and the people’s grand jury, they don’t want to do it, we will. … We the people will find a way.”

A citizens grand jury? Mob rule? No, that would be considered kidnapping. Do we want to go there?

Conlen went on to say;

“What we want to do is go in nice and peaceful and keep it as peaceful as possible… but if they decide to get ugly with us we’re going to do what we have to do,” he said. “If all I get is one or two congressmen walked out of there in handcuffs, that will be a shot across the bow that will ripple across all branches of government. … I hope they are all civil enough and brave enough to step out onto the congressional steps.”

That sounds like a threat to me, more reason to arrest this ass before he can cause any damage to the fools blindly following him.

Conlen claims to have more than 3000 truckers lined up to follow him to D.C.

Keep in mind folks, this is a holiday weekend and it’s doubt many congress critters will be in town to see this tomfoolery.

During the “Ride for the Constitution” rally, tractor-trailers will circle the beltway “three lanes deep” at the 55 mile-per-hour speed limit, Conlon said. Any drivers who wish to get past the convoy will have to have “T2SDA” written on their vehicle, which stands for “Truckers to Shut Down America.” Other than that, “nobody in, nobody out.”

“It’s going to be real fun for anyone who is not a supporter… [and] if cops decide to give us a hard time, we’re going to lock the brakes up, we’re going to stop right there, we’re going to be a three lane roadblock,” Conlen also stated.

Tough Times for the Wingnutters

They original Facebook page was shutdown for racist and violent content but that didn’t stop them from quickly establishing another page which rapidly filled with similar content. Their Twitter account T2SDA has been suspended for similar reasons but the hashtag #T2SDA is still active.

Zeeda Andrews, quickly realizing the ramifications of allowing Conlen to participate, is backstepping, being quoted in THE BLAZE as saying;

 The rally-goers will present its demands to Congress, including the impeachment of Obama. If they comply, the drivers would end the rally.

Ben Pam, an organizer for the latter group, told the Examiner that truckers are not planning on arresting any congressmen.
Pam tried to clarify by saying;

“We do not intend to obstruct traffic or close down any roads. We are not coming to arrest anyone.”
We, the Truckers Riding For The Constitution only wish to awaken the American People to the complete disregard for the Constitution and to bring a message to Congress that We The People demand to be heard. We do not intend to arrest anyone or blockade DC until Obama is impeached. There are news articles and false statements going out from groups and people that are not a part of this movement. Please understand that these people do not speak for us.

The weekend should be interesting if anyone does bother to show up. Their first choice for the initial gathering, the Travel Centers of America in Ashland Virginia has indicated they’re not welcome there. Their second choice, the Travel Centers of America in Landover Maryland have indicated they will have law enforcement there to escort the protesters from their property. And we have word that the Maryland State Police have a little surprise in store for them.
